In the hills, among vineyards and forests, along streams and fields...... around Wissembourg you can enjoy hiking and cycling! The Grande Randonée 53 has its starting point in Wissembourg. There are also many wonderful cycling routes and mountain bike circuits to and around the town. You can walk through the vineyards to the village of Schweigen-Rechtenbach, the gateway to the German wine route. Here, as well as in Wissembourg and Cleebourg (which is part of the Route des vins d'Alcace) , you will find excellent wineries and cellars for a tasting. For swimming enthusiasts, in summer there is the beautiful municipal open-air swimming pool with sunbathing areas located on the Lauter and the city wall. During the rest of the year, you can very well visit Dahn (Germany) where there is a large indoor swimming pool: Felsland Badeparadies. Here you will also find a wonderful sauna: Pfalzblick.
