At several of them you can also go for a delicious breakfast or a cup of coffee or tea with some goodies inside or on the terrace. Of course, in the morning you can also quickly and easily get a nice fresh baguette, croissant or cake to eat at home.
Alsace's most famous specialities are: Choucroute (sauerkraut), Baeckeoffe (French stewed meat dish), Spätzle (pasta variety from Alsace) and Flammkuchen (wafer-thin Alsatian pizza topped with crème fraîche, onion and bacon bits).
